Judith Beveridge


Has published two books of poetry, The Domesticity of Giraffes (Black Lightening Press, 1987) and Accidental Grace (UQP, 1996) which have won between them the NSW and Victorian Premiers' awards, the Dame Mary Gilmore Award and the Wesley Michel Wright Award. A new volume Wolf Notes will appear in December 2003 from Giramondo publishing CO. Her poems have been translated into several foreign languages and have been set for the NSW Higher School certificate. She currently teaches creative writing at the Newcastle University.
